Here is what sets the number on a V12 Lambo, in the order it matters.
The exact car
An Aventador LP700-4 and an Aventador S are different bands. An SVJ and an Ultimae are different bands. A Revuelto out of the first production year sells to a different buyer than a later car. The appraiser confirms the exact model, the model year, coupe or roadster, and the production number if the car has one. The build sheet or the original window sticker makes this one call instead of three.
Miles
Under 40,000 is where Exotic Auto buys. Under 5,000 on an Aventador SVJ or an Ultimae is where the top of the band lives. On the Revuelto, early single-digit-mile cars are their own conversation. The appraiser does not punish honest miles. A 12,000-mile LP700-4 that has been driven and serviced is often an easier number to write than a 1,500-mile car with gaps in the file.
Service file and the known items
Every service at a Lamborghini dealer or a known V12 specialist, with receipts, is the top of the band. The appraiser asks about the last major service, the clutch wear reading on a single-clutch LP700-4, the ISR gearbox service history, the carbon-ceramic brake measurements, and the e-gear or ISR fault history. On the Revuelto, it is the hybrid system status, the battery health, and the software version. A fault that was cleared and not fixed will come up on the next buyer’s inspection, so the appraiser asks about it on the first call.
Paint, bodywork, and the carbon
Every panel gets a paint-depth gauge. A front clip or lower lip respray from stone chips is normal and barely moves the number. A repainted door, quarter, or roof is a different conversation. On an SVJ, SV, or Revuelto, the exposed carbon panels get checked for clear-coat damage and repair. Factory or dealer-installed paint protection film from new is a plus. A full wrap over an unknown finish is a question, not an answer.
Color and spec
Giallo Orion, Arancio Argos, Verde Mantis, Blu Sideris, Rosso Mars, and the Ad Personam colors carry a premium on the right car. So does the full carbon interior, the lifting system, the sensonum or high-end audio, the forged wheels, the transparent engine cover, and the Novitec, Mansory, or factory aero that the owner wants to pay for. The appraiser wants the Ad Personam sheet or the full option list, not a guess.
The Carfax and the title
The appraiser pulls history on every car. A reported accident is not the end of the conversation, but it has to match what the paint gauge and the panels show. On a V12 with a repaired rear clip, the appraiser will say what it does to the number and why. A clean title is required. A loan or a lease buyout is fine.
How the sale works
1. Send the year, model, miles, color, and a few photos to the Lamborghini page or call.
2. Exotic Auto returns a number built from live auction results, current private asks, and what the car retails for.
3. If it works, the paperwork goes out, the lender is paid if there is one, the owner is paid, and an enclosed truck comes to the driveway. The owner does not trailer the car anywhere.
Most V12 sales close inside a week from the first message.
What Exotic Auto does not buy
Salvage or rebuilt titles. Cars with more than 40,000 miles. Cars with undisclosed accident repair. Older Murciélago and Diablo cars are a different market and are handled separately.
