Bentleys are bought on spec and condition more than almost any other car Exotic Auto handles. Two Continental GTs from the same year can be a long way apart depending on the options and how they were kept. Exotic Auto buys Bentleys from private owners nationwide: Continental GT and GTC, Flying Spur, Bentayga, and the Speed, V8, W12, Mulliner, and Azure versions of each. Late-model, under 40,000 miles, paid for from Ewing, New Jersey.
Here is what sets the number.
Model, generation, and engine
The third-generation Continental GT (2019-on) is a different band from the second generation. The 2020-on Flying Spur is a different car from the earlier one. On the Bentayga, the 2021 facelift split matters, and so does V8 versus W12 versus Speed versus Hybrid. The appraiser confirms the exact model, model year, and engine first, then the body (coupe or GTC) on the Continental. The Bentley build sheet or window sticker is the fastest route to the right number.
Spec, because this is where Bentley money lives
Mulliner Driving Specification, the Touring Specification, the rotating display, the Naim audio system, the Bentley Dynamic Ride, the 22-inch wheels, two-tone leather, contrast stitching, carbon fiber or piano black veneer, and the extended paint and hide palette all move the number. A Mulliner-spec car and a base car of the same year sell to different buyers at different numbers. The appraiser wants the full option list and photos of the cabin.
Miles
Under 40,000 miles is where Exotic Auto buys. Under 15,000 is where the best offers are. Bentley buyers want a car that presents as new, so miles count for more here than on a sports car.
Condition inside
Leather on the driver’s bolster and the rear seats, veneer for cracks and sun fade, the headliner, carpet under the mats, and whether every option is present and working. Bentley interiors are expensive to put right, so a cabin with no wear is the top of the band.
Service history and the known items
Dealer service with receipts gets the top number. The appraiser asks about the air suspension, the condition of the carbon-ceramic brakes if fitted, the W12 or V8 service intervals, the infotainment system, and on a GTC, the top and its seals. On a Bentayga, tire wear on the 22-inch wheels and brake condition matter because both are costly.
Paint and wheels
Every panel gets a paint-depth gauge. Two-tone and extended-palette paint are checked panel by panel. Wheels are checked for curb damage; refinished Bentley wheels are a line item the appraiser will price honestly.
Title and payoff
Clean title only. A loan or lease buyout is fine. Exotic Auto pays the lender directly and pays the owner the difference. The owner does not pay the car off first.
How the sale works
1. Send the year, model, miles, exterior and interior colors, and a few photos to the Bentley page or call.
2. Exotic Auto returns a number built from live auction results, current private asks, and what the car retails for.
3. If it works, the paperwork goes out, the lender is paid if there is one, the owner is paid, and an enclosed truck comes to the driveway.
What Exotic Auto does not buy
Salvage or rebuilt titles. Cars over 40,000 miles. Cars with undisclosed accident repair.
