Not every Porsche is an Exotic Auto car. The GT cars and the Turbo S are. Exotic Auto buys them from private owners nationwide: 991 and 992 GT3, GT3 Touring, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, Turbo S, Sport Classic, S/T, the 718 GT4 and GT4 RS, and the Spyder RS. Late-model, under 40,000 miles, paid for from Ewing, New Jersey.
Here is what sets the number on these.
Generation and the exact car
A 991.2 GT3 and a 992 GT3 are different bands. A GT3 with the Touring Package sells to a different buyer than a winged car. A GT3 RS with the Weissach Package is a different number from one without. The first thing the appraiser confirms is the generation, the exact model, the transmission (manual or PDK, because on a GT3 that alone moves the number), and the package.
Spec
Paint-to-Sample and the rarer standard colors carry a premium that the appraiser will price from live results. The Weissach Package, the magnesium wheels, the full bucket seats, the front axle lift, the PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes, the Clubsport Package, the Exclusive Manufaktur interior, and the leather or Race-Tex choices all move the number. A full build sheet is the fastest way to the right offer.
Miles and how they were driven
Under 40,000 miles is the limit. Under 10,000 is where the best offers live. On a GT car, the appraiser also looks at how the miles went on: tire wear and date codes, brake pad and rotor measurements, splitter and underside scuffs, and whether the car has track time. A tracked GT3 RS is still a GT3 RS, but it gets a different number and the appraiser will say why.
Service file and the known items
Porsche dealer or known-specialist service with receipts gets the top of the band. The appraiser asks about the oil service history, the PDK or manual fluid service, the PCCB measurements if fitted, the front-lift system, and whether the car has ever thrown a fault that was cleared and not fixed. Over-rev reports are pulled on every GT car.
Paint, film, and originality
Every panel gets a paint-depth gauge. Factory or dealer-installed paint protection film from new is a plus. A respray on a bumper is normal. A repainted quarter panel is a different conversation. Stock cars are easiest to price high; a car with an exhaust, a tune, or suspension changes is still buyable with the original parts, but the appraiser will say what it does to the number.
Title and payoff
Clean title only. A loan or lease buyout is fine. Exotic Auto pays the lender directly and pays the owner the difference.
How the sale works
1. Send the year, model, package, miles, color, and a few photos to the Porsche page or call.
2. Exotic Auto returns a number built from live auction results, current private asks, and what the car retails for.
3. If it works, the paperwork goes out, the lender is paid if there is one, the owner is paid, and an enclosed truck comes to the driveway.
Most GT car sales close inside a week.
What Exotic Auto does not buy
Salvage or rebuilt titles. Cars over 40,000 miles. Cars with undisclosed accident repair. Boxster, Macan, and Cayenne outside the GT and Turbo range.
