A G 63 is the most-requested car Exotic Auto gets asked for by name. The AMG GT, SL 63, S 63, and E 63 S are not far behind. Exotic Auto buys Mercedes-AMG and G-Class from private owners nationwide: 2013 or newer, under 40,000 miles, paid for from Ewing, New Jersey, with an enclosed truck sent to the driveway.
Here is how the number gets built.
G 63 and G 550 first, because they are their own market
The G-Wagon trades on three things: model year, miles, and spec. A 2019-on W464 body is a different band from a 2018-and-earlier W463. A G 63 is a different band from a G 550. Under that, the appraiser wants the exterior color, the interior color, whether it has the AMG Night Package, the 22-inch wheels, the Exclusive Interior, the rear entertainment, and whether it is a G 63 4×4² or a G 63 Edition. Matte paint, Designo colors, and the Manufaktur program carry a premium on the right year.
Miles matter more on a G than people expect. A 2021 G 63 with 8,000 miles and the same truck with 35,000 miles are not the same offer.
AMG GT, SL 63, S 63, E 63 S, C 63
The appraiser confirms the exact model and trim first. GT, GT C, GT R, GT Black Series, and the 4-door GT 63 S are five different conversations. On the SL and S-Class, the model year and the coupe-versus-cabriolet split change the buyer. On the E 63 S and C 63 S, miles and whether the car has been tuned decide most of it.
Service file and the known items
Dealer or known-specialist service with receipts gets the top of the band. The appraiser asks about the M177 and M178 engine service history, the transmission fluid service, the condition of the carbon-ceramic brakes if fitted, the AMG Performance seats and their bolsters, and on a G, the door hinges, the spare carrier, and the side steps. On an SL or GT cabriolet, the roof mechanism and the rear window seals.
Paint, wheels, and film
Every panel gets a paint-depth gauge. Paint protection film from new is a plus. Matte paint is checked for polishing marks because it cannot be corrected. Wheels are checked for curb damage; refinished forged AMG wheels are a line item.
Tunes and modifications
A stock car is easiest to price high. A car with a known tune (RENNtech, Weistec, Brabus) and the documentation to go with it can still be bought, but the appraiser will say what it does to the number. Undisclosed tunes found at pickup change the deal.
Title and payoff
Clean title only. A loan or lease buyout is fine. Exotic Auto pays the lender directly and pays the owner the difference. The owner does not pay the car off first.
How the sale works
1. Send the year, model, miles, exterior and interior colors, and a few photos to the Mercedes-Benz page or call.
2. Exotic Auto returns a number built from live auction results, current private asks, and what the car retails for.
3. If it works, the paperwork goes out, the lender is paid if there is one, the owner is paid, and an enclosed truck comes to the driveway.
Most AMG and G-Class sales close inside a week.
What Exotic Auto does not buy
Salvage or rebuilt titles. Cars over 40,000 miles. Cars with undisclosed accident repair. Non-AMG Mercedes outside the G-Class.
